history, art, food, wine, great shopping and… cheese.

On this trip we explore why so many talented artists like Matisse,
Dupont, Chagall, Leger and Picasso moved to the Cote d’Azur,
and how they were inspired to produce magnificent, iconic pieces of
art. I visit glitzy Cannes where the fabulous Cannes Film Festival has
just begun, explore an island run by monks producing some of the
world’s finest wine, mingle with the jet set in exquisite St
Tropez, hang out with yachties in the mediaeval harbour town of
Antibes, keep pace with the English and Russian aristocracy in Nice,
and finally cruise into Monte Carlo to catch the heady excitement of
the Monaco Grand Prix.
